Gathering in Munich, Exploring the Future of Energy Storage | ERG Energy at ees Europe 2026

In June, Munich once again became a focal point for the global energy storage industry. ees Europe 2026 brought together battery manufacturers, energy storage companies, system integrators, and industry professionals from across the world to exchange views on where the sector is heading and what it will take to support the energy transition.

ERG Energy used the exhibition to present its energy storage solutions and meet with customers, partners, and industry visitors from Europe and other markets. For ERG Energy, the event was not only a chance to introduce its latest work, but also an opportunity to better understand how international users are thinking about long-duration storage, system reliability, and commercialization.

Bringing Practical Energy Storage Solutions to the Booth

At ees Europe 2026, ERG Energy focused on its work in flow battery energy storage systems. ERG Energy develops, produces, and sells energy storage systems, with business spanning the complementary use of lithium battery and flow battery technologies.

Its current research and development work is centered on three main areas: advanced organic electrolytes, flow battery stack structure and manufacturing process improvement, and system integration for flow battery applications.

Rather than starting from system design alone, ERG Energy has placed basic materials research at the center of its development work. One of its long-term goals is to reduce the upfront cost barrier that has slowed wider use of vanadium redox flow battery systems. ERG Energy is also working to improve reliability, efficiency, and system performance through ongoing upgrades in core components and integration methods.

During the exhibition, ERG Energy's booth drew interest from international visitors, many of whom discussed potential applications, technical paths, and future cooperation.

Progress Built Step by Step

Since its establishment in August 2023, ERG Energy has moved quickly in technology development and product validation.

Its independently developed aqueous organic electrolyte has passed third-party testing and met the requirements for commercialization, bringing the material closer to larger-scale production.

In November 2024, ERG Energy completed and commissioned its 64kW/300kWh vanadium redox flow battery prototype. The system has operated stably, giving ERG Energy a practical basis for moving forward with 100kWh-class energy storage products.

These milestones show steady progress across materials, components, and system integration. They also give ERG Energy a more solid foundation for future applications in long-duration energy storage.

A Wider Conversation in Munich

The exhibition in Munich gave ERG Energy a useful chance to speak face to face with international customers and industry professionals. Those conversations helped ERG Energy share its technical progress while also widening its view of how the global market is evolving.
